Wall Graphic at The Alcove - Conrad

The Alcove is a meeting and event room in the Conrad hotel that has recently been made available for artist to showcase their latest works.  The Conrad along side of Chris Mallon and GK Rowe has taken great strides in combining art and hospitality.  Joining other hotels like 21c in Louisville, Kentucky, the Conrad has clearly recognized the importance of pairing hospitality with original art.  The Alcove is one of only two galleries that exist in the mile square here in Indianapolis.  It is a breath of fresh air and welcomed by all art lovers in the area and around the country.

Chris Mallon of Editions Limited Gallery and GK Rowe of Q7 have combined as the curators of the Alcove.  Together they have successfully combined art, design and hospitality.  Along side of Morgan Greenlee, Public Relations and Marketing Manager for the Conrad, Chris and GK created an evening to remember.

"After the Rain" Mixed Media

I had the pleasure of joining the elite group of artists that have displayed their works in the space. My show, Synthesis of Feelings, has hopefully provoked feelings and thoughts combined with bold color and texture.  I intended the large scale pieces to provide a space for attendees to get lost in an otherwise unknown world amongst the blank walls and white contemporary furniture.  Many local art enthusiasts, supporters and buyers including Mike Reed of First Financial Bank formally Irwin Union Bank (a collector of my work), Kenan Farrell of KLF Legal (an art supporter and member of IDADA), and Mark Rushman of Rushman Fine Art (Founder of IDADA) perused the room as one of many stops on their IDADA First Friday tour.

Conrad is amongst the top 100 hotels in the country and has again out done them selves by the addition of the Alcove.  The evening was a huge success.  A special thanks to Editions Limited Gallery, Q7, and The Alcove at the Conrad Hotel Indianapol
