"Redline" - Tension that sits right on the edge

There’s a tension in this piece that sits right on the edge.

Redline is about that moment where energy peaks, where something pushes to its limit and holds there.
The red drives that feeling. It’s bold, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore. It cuts against the softer neutrals and whites on the left, creating a sharp contrast that feels both controlled and explosive at the same time.

Underneath it all is a darker foundation.
Layers of black sit below the surface, giving the piece its weight and depth. You don’t always see them directly, but you feel them. They create a sense that everything happening on top is being pushed up from something deeper, something forming and building beneath.

At 48 by 60 inches, this painting commands space. It was made to stand out. The scale allows the contrast to breathe while still hitting with impact. From across the room, the red pulls you in.
Up close, the details take over.
The surface is built through multiple layers of acrylic and epoxy resin, creating a rich, textured finish that shifts with light and perspective. Some areas feel smooth and glass-like, while others carry more movement and grit. My signature black line work runs through it all, defining edges, connecting layers, and giving structure to the energy across the canvas.

What I love about Redline is that it feels like it’s right at the limit but not breaking. It’s holding tension. It’s alive in that moment.
It’s powerful, grounded, and right on the edge of something more.
