Jason Zickler’s work lives at the intersection of emotion, movement, and material. Known for his bold use of poured and layered epoxy resin, Zickler’s paintings are dynamic compositions that shimmer with life—combining fluidity, tension, and texture into striking, high-gloss surfaces. From abstract expressionist roots to contemporary gloss-and-grit technique, his evolving style is driven by instinct, experimentation, and a commitment to the physical act of making.

Over the past two decades, Zickler’s work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions across the U.S.—from New York to Miami, Louisville to Los Angeles, and frequently in his hometown of Indianapolis. He has exhibited in spaces like the Conrad Hotel, Marta Hewett Gallery, 3 Mass, and at Art Basel via Lurie & Kavachnina Gallery. His work has earned recognition in juried shows including the IDADA Members Show (Best of Show) and the UIndy Biannual, while also being featured in commercial spaces and collections across the country.
Cree – Todos los Colores
From 2007 to 2010, Zickler owned and curated Cree – Todos los Colores, an independent gallery in Loreto Bay, Baja Sur, Mexico. There, surrounded by the earthy tones and vivid light of the Baja landscape, he deepened his approach to color, form, and texture. Cree became a gathering place—a space where locals, travelers, and collectors experienced the raw evolution of his work. The influence of Baja continues to echo through his current paintings.

Beyond the studio, Jason has shared life with his wife Karen for over 20 years. Together, they raise three children who bring creativity, challenge, and joy into every corner of their world.
