Shine: A Painting That Glows from the Inside Out

There are some pieces that don’t just brighten a wall—they light up a room. Shine is one of those.

This 48x60 inch painting is all about radiance, but not in a blinding, spotlight kind of way. It’s soft, layered, and glows with intention. Built through layers of poured acrylic and high-gloss epoxy resin, Shine transitions from a warm, golden yellow at the bottom to deeper amber, orange, and dusty blues toward the top.
The effect is like light breaking through morning haze—or the last golden stretch of sunlight before the day fades.

The surface has a slight blur to it, almost hazy, like looking through sun-warmed glass.
That’s part of what makes it feel magical—you can sense the depth, but also the stillness. It feels alive and peaceful at the same time.

The name Shine came from the feeling the painting gave me, not just the color palette.
It wasn’t about brightness for brightness’s sake—it was about that inner glow, the kind that lives in quiet strength, warmth, and clarity. It’s the kind of light we carry when we’ve made peace with something. The kind that gently says: You’re exactly where you need to be.
In a room, Shine acts like a presence more than an object. It wraps the space in a feeling. People don’t just admire it—they relax around it.

I’ve always said that my favorite paintings are the ones that surprise me in the end.
Shine didn’t shout its name or announce its direction. It revealed itself slowly, like morning light creeping through the blinds. And once it arrived, it stayed.
If you’ve ever walked into a space and immediately felt at ease, you already know what Shine is about.
